Norman is a successful Bristol businessman who runs Cannon Security – a Filton-based fire and burglar alarm firm. He is the owner of Kingsweston House a grade 1 historic building built between 1712 and 1719 which was designed by Sir John Vanbrugh. He spend much of a year renovating the property. This work included employing and training young people from the Lawrence Weston estate.

Val is a founder director and a committed member of the team. She has a broad range of interests and volunteers within a number of VCS organisations to improve a friendly community spirit such as Living Streets UK, Bristol Walking Alliance, the Bristol Incredible Edible project, to grow your own vegetables in your garden, and Playing out. Val is also a member of BCC Housing Scrutiny Panel. She is an artist and writer in her free time and she is involved in Social Enterprise and Outside In, a charitable art foundation. Val is passionate about equalities issues and has been sitting on the neighbourhood partnership as an equalities representative.
Bee has been living in Lawrence Weston for the past 22 years and works as an Administrator in Avonmouth. Bee also chairs/represents the Wescott Tenants and Residents Group.
Jacki is a local resident director and a committed member of the team. Jacki is chair of Big Local and a planning group member. She also does the tips of the quarterly newsletter ‘On Your Doorstep’. Jacki used to work in the post office and she is got many years of experience as an accountant. Jacki was born and attended school in Lawrence Weston and her whole family has always lived in the area. Her ambition is to give the opportunity to the community to have a voice and bring back the spirit of community to the area.
I live in Lawrence Weston and have been a local to this area for 30 years. I work for Natwest in shirehampton and have two small children. I am also involved in the local community led housing project, and this is some thing I am passionate to see through.

Jamie is an Associate Director at WSP as a Chartered Structural and Civil Engineer with over 15 years’ experience as a consultant in the buildings construction industry. Jamie has a particular interest in sustainable building design and retrofit, timber engineering, heritage building conservation.
He has experience on a wide range of projects, from £100,000 to £125 million in value, involving new build, refurbishment and sustainable design, in many sectors including commercial, retail, education, health, sports and leisure and tall buildings. He has experience at Board level of strategic planning, finance and legal issues in both the commercial and voluntary sectors to help steer Ambition Lawrence Weston and a large network of contacts and colleagues, particularly in the construction and property industry, to draw upon to help the community meet its aims.
Jamie is also a Director of Bristol Green Doors and sits on the committee of the Constructing Excellence Club in Bristol.

Self-employed financial consultant. Many years employed as a Senior Manager with PwC. Experience in preparing and reviewing cash and profit forecasts, reviewing management and financial accounts, including general financial governance.

Involved in Lawrence Weston Planning group, Big Local lottery steering group, ALW Personnel sub group, NP forum, Avonmouth Sea Cadets and other local youth provisions.
Involved in Planning group, NP forum, Kingsweston Sports and social club, L’dub stock (local annual music festival) LW Football club, with a strong interest in local politics and campaigns.

Tim works full time in the building services industry and was an elected Bristol City Councillor representing Kingsweston Ward from 2010-2016. He is currently Chair of the Neighbourhood partnership for L/Weston and Avonmouth and serves as a CIC (Community Interest Company) director for Avonmouth projects group. ALW recently invited Tim to join the board as a strong supporter. ALW continues on its path to improve the area by delivering local projects for the benefit of residents.
Mike is a local resident director and a committed member of the team. Mike has been living in Lawrence Weston since 1948. He is a retired steel erector who was living in Germany for 4 years. Mike is also a member of the planning group, the Big Local Steering group and he sits in the grant pots panel.
