Mark is responsible for overall delivery of Ambition Lawrence Weston’s aims through the Lawrence Weston Community Plan. He is ALW’s representative on the Big Local Steering Group and Chair of the Neighbourhood Planning Group. Mark lives in Lawrence Weston and has good connections in the community from his previous roles in youth and social work, and has experience of partnership working to gain more funding and delivery of local objectives.
Donna Sealey
Community Development Worker
Donna is a lifelong resident of the area who joined us in January 2018, although Donna was an original supporter and helped establish Ambition Lawrence Weston back in 2012 within her role as a community Health specialist with Public Health Bristol. Donna previously had 13 years experience working in the civil service both in NHS Bristol (Public Health) and Bristol City Council (Public Health) in a wide variety of roles including managing the Children and Young Peoples Public Health Team, leading on sexual health, managing a community building and sitting on the Domestic Homicide review panel. Donna not only brings a wealth of skills but also knowledge with a BSc in Health and Social Care, a MSc in Public Health, a diploma in Sustainable Development and a diploma in Project Management as well as the skills in Asset Based Community Development. Donna led on the refresh of our community plan and leads on all of our community engagement including activities and events, outreach and community research. Donna will also manage our new community health hub (once its built!)

Amy smith
Amy looks after our finances and is the newest member of the Ambition team. Amy has 15 years experience working for Natwest Bank.

Norman Routledge
Chairman, Local Resident & HR/Personnel Rep
Norman is a successful Bristol businessman who runs Cannon Security – a Filton-based fire and burglar alarm firm. He is the owner of Kingsweston House a grade 1 historic building built between 1712 and 1719 which was designed by Sir John Vanbrugh. He has spent much of the last year renovating the property. This work included employing and training young people from the Lawrence Weston estate.
Terri Booker
Local Resident director & HR/Personnel Rep
Mother of four, housewife, and resident. Involved in Lawrence Weston Planning group, Big Local lottery steering group, ALW Personnel sub group, Avonmouth Sea Cadets and other local youth provisions.
Waltraud (Val) Pospischil
Local Resident Director, Original Subscriber & Training Rep
Val is a founder director and a committed member of the team. She has a broad range of interests and volunteers within a number of VCS organisations to improve a friendly community spirit such as Living Streets UK, Bristol Walking Alliance, the Bristol Incredible Edible project, to grow your own vegetables in your garden, and Playing out. Val is also a member of BCC Housing Scrutiny Panel. She is an artist and writer in her free time and she is involved in Social Enterprise and Outside In, a charitable art foundation. Val is passionate about equalities issues and has been sitting on the neighbourhood partnership as an equalities representative.

Jacki Crouch
Local Resident Director
Jacki is a local resident director and a committed member of the team. Jacki is chair of Big Local and a planning group member. She also does the tips of the quarterly newsletter ‘On Your Doorstep’. Jacki used to work in the post office and she is got many years of experience as an accountant. Jacki was born and attended school in Lawrence Weston and her whole family has always lived in the area. Her ambition is to give the opportunity to the community to have a voice and bring back the spirit of community to the area.

Past senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Experience in preparing and reviewing cash and profit forecasts, reviewing management and financial accounts, and financial governance.
Daphne Chikwere
Local Resident Co-opted Director
Local resident and one of ALW’s Directors, Daphne Chikwere is a NHS nurse specialising in Medicine and Critical care with a background in Environmental Management. She is a member of the Big Local Committee, LW planning group and one of the Directors of the Ambition LW. She is also one of the campaigners to Save the Giant Goram pub in Lawrence Weston (a BCC building of local value), to save it and hopefully reopen it as a community pub. Daphne has also participated in projects such as the LW in Bloom for the street she lives on – Meere Bank, and inviting her neighbours to pursue funding for a environmentally-friendly parking project on Meere Bank.’

Experience in the civil and structural engineering industry. Director of finance for business development (Faculty of Building). Large network of contacts and colleagues (including construction and property) to draw upon, to assist in any development aims/goals. Experience of business and voluntary organisational governance. Director of Bristol Green Doors.
Jordon Hudd

Jordon is a local resident and works for the local young peoples youth project ‘Juicy Blitz’ which is part of Oasis Hub North.
