A free local service in the heart of Lawrence Weston, supporting residents to find jobs and training in Avonmouth and the North Bristol area. We work with local employers to promote and fill vacancies and help local residents become work-ready.
We can help with:
- CV and job search support
- Self-employment advice and training
- Benefits sign-posting and claims support
- Interview coaching
- In-work support to increase hours and sustain employment
- Training courses – Community Learning and City of Bristol College
- Apprenticeships and qualifications
Where? Westcott Community Rooms, 1-9 Wescott Grove, De Clifford Road, Lawrence Weston.
When? Fridays 10am – 12pm – now extended until 1pm

SevernNet is a social enterprise run by and for the businesses, community and other stakeholders across the
SevernNet Area (Royal Portbury Dock, Avonmouth, Severnside, Western Approach).
Our key aim is to work together to transform our challenges into opportunities, stimulating local jobs and skills and enabling more sustainable growth. Principally:
- Improving transport facilities across the area
- Supporting community engagement and improving access to work for local people
- Promoting resource efficiency and development of a circular economy across the area
- Enabling engagement with the strategic development of the area through the Avonmouth Severnside Enterprise Area and other forums
